MILC Facilities Overview

Melbourne Intercultural Learning Centre (MILC) is Australia’s only purpose-built boarding facility exclusively for international students under 18. Located in Brighton, our modern four-level campus accommodates up to 46 students in a secure, welcoming, and culturally enriching environment. Designed to support students' academic, personal, and social growth, our facilities combine comfort with functionality.

MILC offers:

Fully furnished student rooms include:

Air conditioning
Bunk beds with complete bedding sets
Individual study desks and chairs

Wardrobes with hangers
Separate private shower room and toilet

Meals and Dining

Three nutritious meals are provided daily, with a hot dinner served every evening.
Menus feature a diverse mix of Asian and Western cuisines, prepared on-site by our in-house chef in a commercial kitchen.
Meals are served in a communal dining hall during designated times, fostering routine and community.
Fridge/microwave/toaster are available outside mealtimes.

Laundry

Personal laundry: Students can use the on-site self-service laundry located in the basement, or place clothing into provided laundry bags for weekly collection and return by MILC staff.
Bedding laundry: All bed linen is professionally cleaned through MILC’s commercial laundry service. Students are responsible for changing their own bedding regularly using fresh linen supplied on-site.

Safety and Security

CCTV monitoring in all public and communal areas.
Secure elevator access controlled by keyfob.
Reach Boarding system: Students must check in and out when leaving or returning to the facility.
Curfews and structured routines are in place, with Wi-Fi disabled after hours to support rest and wellbeing.

Learning and Common Areas

Facilities include dedicated classrooms, a theatre, boardrooms, and open common spaces for academic support, social activities, and cultural learning.
Located just 100 meters from Gardenvale Station, MILC offers fast access to Melbourne CBD, local schools, shops, and beaches.
